Find the right rehab centre to help get you back on track
Thailand is often called the Land of Smiles. It is a country that when you visit the people are always friendly, the food is always delicious and the natural scenery always photo worthy. Being an exotic location it’s not only for tourists in general but also for medical tourists looking for destination rehabilitation.
With the healthcare standards that can parallel those of Western countries and at a fraction of the price, it is to no surprise there is a growing popularity for people coming to Thailand for drug and alcohol rehab. It’s not all about the price tag that comes with a rehab package when choosing a centre in South East Asia. Plus extra points as these centres all value the private discretion of their guests.
If your mind is already considering making a change, a complete 180 change of scenery might just be that extra catalyst in reorienting the body to the mind. Being at a more holiday setting instead of a clinical one might even help one maintain a long term successful rehabilitation.
The Eastern philosophy is also an added bonus at these exclusive centres. Thailand is just the place for those looking for mindful Buddhist practices and holistic methods. It’s not all about getting over something but more of regaining balance. Physically and spiritually. Complementing that to modern healthcare facilities that are up to par to Western tastes.

Serenity Rehab (Chiang Rai)
The Serenity staff are a globally diverse team. Ranging from English-speaking licensed counselors to a Hypnotherapy Practitioner. Their main program helps addicts and alcoholics overcome their dependency to addictive substances and reattain their freedom. But it’s not all about getting all the necessary counseling. Serenity integrates mind, body and soul practices to generate an overall state of well-being. All guests have plenty of free time to explore some yoga or melt away to therapeutic massages. Better yet, Sunday’s are reserved for more adventurous activities such as zip lining or jungle trekking. While all of this seems like it will build an appetite you won’t be disappointed by the locally sourced meals either! Their standard program is 28 days. Serenity can only intake 20 guests at a time. 10 in the primary programme and latter 10 in their secondary programme.
