Guest Reviews

"“Quiet and perfect Intimate getaway.”"

My Partner and I stayed at the X2 Samui resort in March 2015 (Yes it took me while to do my review)

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it was, it is quite private and off the beaten track.

The staff are so lovely, we had our own private pool and it was pristine and clean.

There is a massive lounge area overlooking the ocean and the cocktails are splendid.

I thought it was fabulous value for money and was not disappointed in the slightest whatever we needed the staff were able to cater for us.

They gave us some fabulous restaurant recommendations and ensured we were not getting ripped off with any taxis.

If you don't want to catch Taxis I would recommend hiring a scooter as it is quite a way out.

The bed was massive and extremely comfortable and the villa was sectioned so that we could have our own private time if we needed the bathroom.

The rooms were very clean and the food at the resort was excellent.
I have been to Thailand numerous times and I didn't get sick at all from any of the food no Thai belly at all.

The main pool area is massive and you are always able to get a sunbed as the resort is so small and private.

Please note that this is a private resort that is very pushed towards couples, so you won't really be chatting to many people as everyone seems to be wanting alone time.

The privacy is great for couples though and if you wanted a romantic getaway I would really recommend this.

A great restaurant to visit that isn't too far away is The Dining Room at Rockys, it was incredible and not too far away.

PLEASE VISIT X2 SAMUI you won't be disappointed!

"“Relaxing time in a luxury villa with spa treatment”"

We spent a couple of days in this luxury villa. Everyhting was great! From the room stylish and modern with everything that you need. They even have expresso coffee machine and we loved so much x2 products that they have as toitletries. A pool inside our villa! The place is very quiet and you can enjoy the amazing spa as we did. We were a couple and we had Thai massage and x2 Signature massage for a guy. Also hand and foot massage, pedicure and manicure for a girl. There are bicycles for renting to go around as complimentary. The pool area is great and quiet since the most of the people spend time inside their villas. The breakfast is great with Western and Thai choices, you can even have a la carte menu and yes!!! Champaign!!! There are breads, salads and few juices. For lunch and dinner there is a la carte menu where you can enjoy all kind of cuisines. We really liked Masamang Curry, pizzas and ribs for main course. As dessert choices were awesome from tiramisu, mint ice cream and our favorite was Sticky Mango Rice. The views to the beach in the restaurant were really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful keeping our privacy and helping us to book our tickets to our next destination: Phuket. And after the check out, they drove us to the bus station and help us with to pick up our booking there.

"“Hidden gem in Koh Samui”"

We stayed in X2 for three nights and had a wonderful time. It's a beach side resort away from the more touristy spots so the area is really tranquil and we were able to fully enjoy the beauty of the island. Excellent facilities throughout the resort - private villa with pool, private beach, beach side bar and restaurant, outdoor pools, and last but not the least - unlimited spa! Staff is professional and really friendly. Highly recommended for any type of travellers!

"“Relaxed luxury”"

We stayed here the night before our wedding weekend. Pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous rooms, we had a private pool which was superb and had everything we could have wanted in the room. The breakfast overlooking the beach was fantastic and so were the spa treatments. It has the deepest pool in Koh Samui (about 2 metres so not that deep) but the everything it offers is fantastic if you want a quiet relaxing and luxurious few days away. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

"“Fantastic stay!”"

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and enjoyed every minute. The pool villa is even better than the photos. Very modern and stylish, while being very comfortable at the same time. Unfortunately, it rained quite a bit during our stay, so we weren't able to use the pool much, but we certainly enjoyed sitting near it and taking in the quiet peaceful surroundings. You can book your room cleaning time in advance and they were outstanding in looking after us, while not being in our way at all.
Breakfast at the restaurant was very good. Choice of egg dish with various sides made to order and then a range of fruits, juices, cereals and other Asian dishes were available on the buffet. Everyday was a special new fruit-vegetable juice was available and we loved the many concoctions. A nice touch. The restaurant sits overlooking the beach. A stunning view to enjoy with the good food.
Taking advice from other posts, I wrote to the spa 3 weeks in advance to book our treatments. I was shocked that it was mostly booked and that I was not going to get much time. However, after a few back and forth messages, we were able to get daily massages in the late afternoon and a variety of facials, body wraps, scrubs, hand/foot treatments each morning. We really enjoyed this part of the spa, but can see that early bookings will be necessary to get what you want. Request the spa menu in advance and request your daily bookings.
The location is about 10 minutes by car from Lamai, which has a number of bars and restaurants. The hotel offers a shuttle at 2 pm, returning at 6pm, which really did not suit our timings. We opted to rent a motorbike and car during our stay. The location is nice for finding peace and quiet, but not much around in walking distance.

Overall, this is a great place to relax. The spa and beautiful surroundings, accompanied by high quality service made this a trip to remember.

"“Incredible Stay - Just the relaxation and tranquility we needed!”"

My wife and I stayed at X2 for 6 nights (May 16-21) to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon in Phuket and couldn't wait to get back to Thailand! We found this resort and thought it was too good to be true - all spa inclusive?! Who has heard of that? Good news - It was real!!

We absolutely loved our stay at X2. The grounds are stunning, the room was clean, spacious, and had beautiful design. We stayed in the private pool villa and couldn't recommend that highly enough! The pool area was magic. nice lounge chairs, beautiful sitting area with pillows, amazing plants and upkeep.

The bed was large and extremely comfortable, and the high ceilings made the room feel so spacious. The bath is massive and beautiful - the hot water is a little unpredictable, but we did have hot water to run a wonderful bath one evening.

The pubic pool area is absolutely stunning. beautiful place to relax and read and sunbathe if you want to get out of the privacy of your private pool villa. The pool is huge, and all you can see is the beautiful palm trees reflecting in the water. It was really lovely. towels set out to use, shade or sun, umbrellas, comfy outdoor couches, showers to use, it was amazing and so tranquil. We wouldn't have been disappointed at all if that was the only pool - that's how nice it was!

The restaurant is great as well. Nice layout, easy to have tons of space and also feels very private and romantic. open layout, great breeze coming in off the sea. The breakfast was included in our rate, and really nice. there was a good quality buffet with cold items, toast/breads, cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, juice, champagne.

Lunch and Dinner in the restaurant were really nice.. we loved the massaman curry and the pad thai. I was a little bummed that they didn't offer green curry on the normal menu, but they did have it as a special one night (the waitress, whom we had already had during the week, told me as soon as we walked in that night "Tonight we have green curry for you!!" Which said a lot to us about the care that the staff has for guests!)

Which brings me to the beach. The views were incredible, and there was a massive sandbar to walk out on (we did some really stunning photoshoots out there!) However, it's not a beach to swim on or lay out on. That's not a problem though! Just rent a motorbike (cost us $10 USD for 24 hours, which we just rented from the front desk) and drive 10 minutes to Lamai Beach! It's a STUNNING beach, tons of food, etc etc. It was perfect, and we didn't mind the lack of swimming beach at X2 at all! It was actually really nice to get off the resort and see the local area for a few hours on a few of the days, so we loved this in hindsight!

Ok... the spa. It really, truly was all inclusive! They guarantee every guest at least 120 minutes of treatments per day, with unlimited booking as available! We were so grateful for the wondeful ladies Kik and Rey at the desk who looked after scheduling. They went above and beyond!! I loved the tea that they served, so they helped me find where to get some to take home, and told me how to prepare it! They also worked so hard to book us the best possible spa times and services. Kik also ended up being the therapist for a few of my massages, and she was wonderful. They always put us in couples rooms, and the facilities are incredible. So beautiful, clean, romantic, and amazing!! My wife did do a manicure and pedicure, which wasn't really the best- so maybe just stick to the massage services (which are PERFECT!). Ask for "Bee" to be your massage therapist - She's phenominal!! Best Thai massages you'll ever get. Neenah was wonderful too. We did everything from aromatherapy to seaweed detox, to body scrub to after-sun massage. It was all amazing!!

The front desk staff was amazing as well. so helpful, sweet, great communication and that wonderful, warm thai hospitality we have come to know and love.

That's a novel... but the bottom line is that this hotel was everything we wanted and more for a relaxing, romantic, exotic holiday. We recommend it 100%. The downsides are so minor and don't even come close to the incredible calibre of this hotel and their staff. We travel often, all over the world, and this was one of our absolute favorite vacations- and a total jackpot for the value! If you're thinking about staying here, think no further. JUST BOOK IT!!
