Seasonality & Weather
The largest numbers of tourists can be found in August through to March with peaks around New Year and Christmas time. If your ideal scenario is to bump into the fewest number of tourists then definitely aim for times between April to June, these are the cheapest months and the best deals can be found somewhere between September and October. Having said that most retreats are based in a quiet location away from the crowds so that even during the island’s busiest periods you probably wouldn’t notice.
The region experiences the heaviest rainfall during these months but it’s usually short heavy downpours followed by more glorious sunshine.
